Whether you are coming to the UK capital for business or pleasure, there is a whole host of fabulous festivals to enjoy because September is well and truly festival month in London! Here’s our pick of the best.
Totally Thames Festival – 1st to 30th September
A full month of aquatic arts and cultural activities take place along the length of the River Thames. Expect breath-taking sculptures and installations, performances and concerts, unforgettable river trips, and even the chance to hunt by moonlight as part of an archaeological walk. The 29th sees the first-ever Regatta London, the UK’s newest mass participation event.
Greenwich Comedy Festival – National Maritime Museum – 4th to 8th September 2019
This year’s event sees some of the biggest, best, and of course, most hilarious standup comedy acts around. Over the course of the week, visitors to London can get tickets to see Reginald D Hunter, Sara Pascoe, Sean Lock and Mark Watson, to name just a few.
Wing Fest – Stadium Island, Stratford – 7th and 8th September 2019
Just a short walk from The Westbridge Hotel, and set in one of the most beautiful outdoor spaces in London, you’ll find Wing Fest – an annual culinary festival, and one of the largest of its type in Europe. Spectators are welcomed to come and sample the delicious dishes to find out who is King or Queen of the Wing.
London Fashion Week – The Store X – 13th to 17th September 2019
Located at The Store X, 180 Strand London Fashion Week in September will be the first of the four global Fashion Week’s to embrace inclusivity, opening the doors to both trade and the public to join a celebration of fashion’s creativity, community and diversity. London Design Festival – various locations – 14th to 22nd September 2019
This will be the 17th edition of one of the most vital and relevant design festivals in the world. LDF is a celebration of design, showcasing ideas, concepts, and creations from creatives around the world, established and new. Events take place across the city, with the esteemed V&A Museum at the heart of the action.
Open House London – various locations – 21st to 22nd September 2019
