There are numerous displays around the capital, each offering a spectacular pyrotechnic light show, and many coupled with a carnival vibe. Head to Alexandra Palace if you want your fireworks accompanied by street food and craft beer, Gilwell Park for lasers and music, or if you just like to take in the wonder of London alight at night, head to a viewing platform such as the UK’s largest sculpture, the ArcelorMittal Orbit. At 114.5 metres high, this sculpture and observation tower in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford is sure to offer a stunning view!NovemberLondon Jazz Festival

From the 16th to the 25th of the month you’ll find some sweet jazz tunes spilling from various venues around London as part of the London Jazz Festival November 2018. It is an international extravaganza of musical talent featuring jazz masters, acts new to the scene and everyone in between. As well as playing in legendary jazz clubs such as the 606 Club, Ronnie Scotts, and Pizza Express Jazz Club, artists will be at high profile venues such as the Barbican Centre, Southbank Centre, and the Royal Albert Hall.

Shrouds of The Somme

A unique and historic event Shrouds of The Somme will be taking place on The South Park Lawn in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford in remembrance of lives lost during The Battle of the Somme. The event marks 100 years since the end of the First World War and will feature 72,396 shrouded figures laid out in rows, over an area of 4,000 square metres. Each figure represents a British serviceman killed during the battle who has no known grave. Entry is free, but a queuing system will be in place, runs from 8th to 18th November 2018, open from 10.00 until 19.00.NovemberWinter Wonderland

Festive family fun kicks off in Hyde Park this November with the annual Winter Wonderland attraction. Now in its eighteenth year, the festive festival is guaranteed to have every element of its attraction nailed to perfection. There will be ice rinks, fair ground rides, Santa’s grotto, circus acts, immersive cinema experiences, festive food and drink and of course a fabulous Christmas Market. Opens 22nd November, entry is free.
